If the planned vacation this May will push through, I was planning of making church visits in some of the old churches in southern Cebu especially in the town of Ginatilan where St. Pedro Calungsod was born. Hubby’s friends are also planning to visit the Simala Shrine in Sibonga as there are some ancient relics in the shrine atop of the hills. I wish I could see st christopher medal inside the huge shrine display of ancient Catholicism.
The shrine is the south of Cebu has been receiving thousands of visitors already not only from Cebu but also from far places as well and such it became a tourist haven now. People from all walks of life come out in droves just to visit this marvelous and strategically located shrine on the hills of Lidongon, Sibonga, Cebu. It has received so many facelift, renovations and extensions to accommodate the growing crowds not only devotes but tourists alike. And if the plan goes well, then it will be my first visit at the Simala Shrine and I am hoping that it won’t be the last. The pictures that I have seen in the internet are fantastic complementing the views as it is situated on the hills.
