I used to be browsing hubby’s blog more often but since our son started going to school and the work that I have to put up in our online business are just too much to handle. And I have to prioritize what I have to do first without jeopardizing the household chores. These last few days, I was lucky to have inserted a few things in my schedule while listening to the news in the aftermath of super typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. It is believe to be the strongest and most powerful storm on record to make landfall, with sustained winds of up to 315 km/h which is a Category 5-equivalent on hurricane wind scale.
Anyway, so much for that horrifying human tragedy of super typhoon Haiyan and here’s what I’ve read from hubby’s blog about healthy tips for your skin. Reposted it here with permission just in case you haven’t read his post.
One of the most abused and neglected organ in our body is our skin. And I’m sure many will agree with me on it. And if you don’t know, here are some facts that you must learn. Our skin is the largest organ in our body, it weighs about six pounds and it regenerates itself about once every 27 days. So with that in mind, I hope you start thinking twice every time you go out under the sun without protecting it.
So here are some suggested tips for your skin that I read from the Cleveland Clinic:
- Drink plenty of water each day.
- Clean your face twice a day and make sure to remove all makeup at night.
- Eat a healthy, balanced and nutritious diet.
- Use a toner to help clean your face to remove the dirt missed by washing.
- Always moisturize even if you have oily skin.
And so start changing your lifestyle now bearing in mind the tips mentioned above before you suffer a devastating effect of your recklessness and perhaps with some ignorance of the facts. At the same time, don’t be fooled of the clouds covering the sky above you as UV rays can still penetrate into it.
